When Nawazuddin Siddiqui was asked why he wanted to work for free. So he told that after listening to the story of the film, he realized that Manto and I are exactly alike. In such a situation, if I had taken money to work in the film, then this thing would have troubled me for the rest of my life. But I also wanted to join the film as a professional, so I decided that I would charge only Re 1 for the film.
